Data Analytics Specialization

Collect, analyze, and interpret data to turn it into decisions for businesses and organizations.

Data Analytics Specialization

The Data Analytics specialization focuses on developing data-driven solutions and optimizing business processes. During the studies, students learn to work with various data sources, apply analytical methods, and interpret results within the context of organizational operations.

Strong emphasis is placed on hands-on work with data analysis, visualization, and programming tools widely used in modern organizations. This specialization prepares analytically minded professionals capable of transforming data into clear insights and evidence-based decisions.

Core subjects of the Smart Technology Industry Bachelor’s programme

Fundamentals of Programming and Object-Oriented Programming, Programming with Python, Databases, Computer and Communication Systems Architecture, Software Systems Engineering, Testing Techniques and Fundamentals of Automated Testing, Cloud Technologies, IT Project Management and Professional Ethics, Professional Practice and Final Thesis.

Data Analytics specialization modules

The specialization modules cover the full data analytics cycle — from data collection to decision support. During the studies, students explore data mining in business process intelligence, learn to analyze and visualize data using Power BI, and apply Python (Pandas, NumPy) to solve analytical tasks.

The programme also includes process modeling using machine learning methods that enable trend forecasting and evaluation of decision impact. Modules are strongly practice-oriented and focus on the skills required to work with real organizational data and support data-driven decision-making.

For Informatics Sciences programmes, the competitive score is calculated from Mathematics (50%), one of the following subjects — Informatics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Geography, or Engineering Technologies (25%) — and English language (25%).

For Non-European students, the price for one semester is 2250 Eur.

There are 6 semesters in total (3 years).

This specialisation is part of the Professional Bachelor’s degree in Smart Technology Industry. Studies are organised in modular blocks with a strong focus on hands-on skills, project-based learning, and real-world problem solving.

Students enrol in the Smart Technology Industry degree programme and develop expertise within their chosen specialisation. Where justified by academic progress or career direction, it is possible to transfer to another specialisation within the Smart Technology Industry programme, subject to academic requirements.
