Cybersecurity Specialization

Cybersecurity is a highly in-demand specialization focused on ensuring organizational security. Students learn about types of cyberattacks, defense mechanisms, incident management, and system monitoring. The European Union currently faces a shortage of more than 200,000 cybersecurity specialists, making this one of the most перспективные and future-proof study directions.

This specialization is chosen after admission to the Smart Technology Industry Bachelor’s programme.

Core subjects of the Smart Technology Industry Bachelor’s programme:

Fundamentals of Programming and Object-Oriented Programming, Programming with Python, Databases, Computer and Communication Systems Architecture, Software Systems Engineering, Testing Techniques and Fundamentals of Automated Testing, Cloud Technologies, IT Project Management and Professional Ethics, Professional Practice and Final Thesis.


Cybersecurity specialization modules:

Fundamentals of Cybersecurity Management, Attack Monitoring Methods and Tools, Security Techniques, and Incident Management.

Within these modules, students learn to:

identify and analyze cyber threats

apply security measures in information systems

monitor systems and respond to security incidents

ensure the reliability of organizational IT infrastructure and compliance with security requirements

work with real security scenarios and practical assignments


For Informatics Sciences programmes, the competitive score is calculated from Mathematics (50%), one of the following subjects — Informatics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Geography, or Engineering Technologies (25%) — and English language (25%).

For Non-European students, the price for one semester is 2850 Eur.

There are 6 semesters in total (3 years).

This specialisation is part of the Professional Bachelor’s degree in Smart Technology Industry. Studies are organised in modular blocks with a strong focus on hands-on skills, project-based learning, and real-world problem solving. 

Students enrol in the Smart Technology Industry degree programme and develop expertise within their chosen specialisation. Where justified by academic progress or career direction, it is possible to transfer to another specialisation within the Smart Technology Industry programme, subject to academic requirements.
